Default cruise control surging after mass air swap

ok the tranny is out, and the car is gettin painted but while its up on stands i thought i would address the cruise control issue. i converted the car to mass air and am running the Cobra computer. everything has been working fine including the cuise control. then one day i went to use it and the cruise started to surge over and over again but only when i use the cruise. what is making that happen. I guess i am worried that being i had to re-wire the cruise for the new computer being it is used by a different port on the old computer that there could be a short, or a problem. I dont necissarily need the cruise control, i like to use it. but dont want to damage the computer.
and ideas?

this was the old time....
1/4 mile..... 14.10 @ 95 MPH before i went into the motor.... on street tires.......

I'd start by checking the vacuum system, it's connected into it.
