There shouldn't be any vacuum at the EGR valve when the engine is idling. The valve should only be activated (open) under load-part-throttle conditions.

So the craziest damn thing happened tonight.
Someone had replied to my other thread about my surging and suggested that they had simply rotated their MAF so the top was facing the inner fenderwell and it solved their surging problem.
Well tonight I started my car up surging and all, then for some reason I had remembered what this person had done, so I shut it off and rotated it till it was pointing at the fenderwell.
Guess what?? I'll be damned, IT WORKED!!!
I can't believe it!
Now will someone PLEASE tell me just exactly why that would stop my surging??
Hell at this point, I'm just ten shades of happy!
I'm still going to install my new MSD Super Conductor wire set I received from Summit today!
