Another way is to lay a layer of fiberglass down. Lighter then weld or bondo. You still have to sand

Welding the holes you may need the bondo to smooth it out, or at least spot puddy. And you will still need to sand

I have not done this yet to mine. I will probably weld, but the fiberglass is still in my mind. I will cross that when the time comes.

I decided to mig all the holes, and believe me, there are A LOT of holes. I believe we counted nearly 100. The larger holes, such as those in the radiator support, required cutting small circles out of sheet metal and tacking them in.

The starter solenoid is behind the strut tower.

All the wiring was re-loomed in red, and run through the fenders. The headlight harness was run through the hollow radiator support.

Nobody notices, till your parked next to someone that hasn't gone through the effort!

If you don't feel like running the wires behind everything. You can alway cover them up with sheet metal. It's old hot rodder trick. Hot Rod Magizine is filled with picture of this style. It make the engine bay look smaller though.

Default Hiding wiring in engine compartment

First time on this forum. Have a couple of qestions. Just got done building new engine for my 92 GT. GT40 short block, Twisted Wedge heads etc... I saw a similar Mustang but LX, he hid all the wiring to the engine compartment I think behind the left fender. Would appreciate some pointers on how to do it if any body ever has. Thank You.

Figured Id do a search on this site and everybody says its a pain in the butt. However, on Corral and Stangnet they said although it can be a pain the job can be done in 8 to 9 hours. Im confused. Haaaaa. Im keeping my options open. If I decide to do it I'll let ya know.
