optima battery group size

does anyone know what group size for a red top optima battery fits mustang fox bodies, i'm having a heck of time tracking it down, even the website for optima doest have a listing for 93 v8 mustang, or is anyone running one in there foxbody, thanks

1993 LX 5.0 stock long block, 1.7 crane roller rockers, cobra valve springs, explorer intake upgrade, 65mm throttle body, 80mm maf ,Moroso CAI,Shorty BBK headers,BBK Adj fuel reg, BBK underdrive pulleys, electric fan, B303 cam, off-road Hpipe, 40series flowmasters, 3:73 gears, Alum drive shaft, King Cobra clutch, Pro 5.0 shifter, BBK gripp LCA,190lph fuelpump,Moates Burn2 Chip Programmer, with EEC-IV bank reader

i believe you need a 34/78.....

Optima 9004-003 - Optima RedTop Batteries - JEGS

something to think about now would be a great time for a battery re-location

That's the one I have, it should come with plastic adapters that will make it bolt right into the factory battery box if you want. Optima's the one to have, no AutoCrap or DieEasy for me.

lol "dieeasy" thats what i had before, unfortunatly the Optima was not in the budget, so i had to settle for a Easy Start walmart special, it should get me through the next couple of months till i get back up to Mass and finally get a truck and put my stang away for the winter, then is when the new engine goes in

I believe the Optima 34/78 Series is too tall, I am going to go with an Odyssey Battery when the time comes, which will probably be in the Spring as the Generic Autozone Battery has been in the Stang for more than 10 years now!
