Default 1992 Mustang Airbag problems AGAIN!

Well, it looks like my car gave me an early christmas present. The airbag light is on, but it only comes on every 3rd or 4th time I start it!It is flashing error code 34.
It reads:

34 Low resistance in driver air bag circuit| L

Anyone had this problem? What is wrong? What needs to be replaced!

If you havent had a front end impact I would say the blue box under dash is bad like the rest of them I have run into.

Most likely the blue air bag module behind the radio.

Yeah, the problem is that i have already replaced the blue box. Do you think that some of the connectors got dirty or rusted? I didnt check when I replaced it, But looking at the old blue box the female end has some white grease on it.

I got a brand new one from the Ford Dealership, it was $250! It cant be bad, but would the connectors be dirty?

According to the Ford Service Manual, Code 34s most common problem is a failing Clockspring.

Well, My Horn works, the cruise control works, and the light comes on every once and a while. I really hope its not a clockspring. No one makes those anymore.

So, I just found the old blue box that I took out, and the metal end have a grease on them that looks kinda green and white, Could this be the problem? A bad connection? I did replace it with a brand new one from Ford.

I did not use any grease on my Connections when I replaced my Diagnostic Monitor. In the Service Manual it lists the Clock Spring starting to fail as the most common problem for a 34 and then the Diagnostic Monitor after that.

Hmmm.. My car has 15,000 original miles on it...
Would a failing clockspring cause the air bag light to come on sometimes, (usually every fourth or fifth start)????
