Default 1986 Dashkit to 1987 dash? Will it work?

Hey everyone. I have a 1987 Mustang LX 2.3, or it used to be . I bought an 89 Mustang GT 5.0L and a 91 Mustang LX 2.3. I used the 91 for fenders and stuff, and I took the 5.0L out of the GT. Now its on my original '87 (t-top foxbody). I built one of those rotisaries to patch up the floor. I plan on buying new carpet for my beast and maybe some new seats. But I just purchase a 1983 Mustang GT Cobra (rough shape but runs and I needed it for the CPU) but the guy that owned it built it with all 1986 parts. So i was looking at the dash, and I completely LOVE the older 80's dash's over the one I got now. I want to swap the dashs and maybe the center console as well... I want to put a dvd deck in later this year (summer) and pretty much make the interior look perfect... I have new speakers for it, and I am buying 2 12" Pioneer subs. This is GOING to be my dream car! I would appreciate it if someone can answer my question and help me get on my way to a weekend Mustang club! lol!

And I just rode outback at my place and found out that the 89 Mustang GT was CRUSHED by a damn tree during a wind storm we had.. shitty, but luckily I got all the parts I wanted off of it! Ill be posting pics of my Mustang soon and some of the crushed one!

You can swap the dashes but you'll have to rewire everything behind it.
