I am currently looking for some information on putting an old style 302 engine in a 89 mustang 5.0. I purchased this 78 302 engine for a good price, fully rebuilt, bored .40 over, cam etc etc and I want to put it into my 89 mustang. The mustang came stock with the 5.0 and AOD tranny. I am not by any means a mechanical genus so i'm just curious what all I need to change or do to make it work. I have removed the main engine harness and computer already and am running an aftermarket fuel cell, just need to get a electric fuel pump yet. I want to keep the AOD tranny also. Anyways any and all information would be great, if you need more information just ask and ill do my best to describe my situation...thanks!!!!

To answer your question need to know are you planning to go carb or efi.....
