Default need help with carb & intake prob's

i just bought an 83 hatch, it has a 289- 351w head's, headers, old edelbrock torker intake & a 750 dual line holley, it has a cam, not sure on it, i didnt put it in, but the 750 & high rise intake is too much, i need a lower intake & carb, i cant even put a breather on this car, because it will get smashed by the hood, anyone? , it's gonna be my daily driver, thank's

You can pick up a cowl hood for about 300, would solve your problems and give your car a mean look.

i have an stock 84 302 4bbl intake in good working condition, it was off my 84gt, i have a torker 2 on it now. if interestes email me.

Pulled up to the light the other day and a 3 year old on his big wheel looked over at me and then at the light. I knew that it was on. The big wheel was hooked up, rims, sickers,ground FX, the works. Just before the light turned green the little ******* pointed to the NOS sicker on his machine and left a plasic patch that lasted about 100ft. I didn't stand a chance, I was smoked. He rasied his fist in victory and when home for milk and cookies, I just went to the track. :rolleyes:

You could get a weiand stealth intake . They are good

will a stock intake work with 351 heads on a 289?

The Torker is a pretty low intake (and a pretty good one too) - are you sure that is what it is? Is this it - here is a picture.............

The 750 is definately too big a carb.

PS - maybe it's time for a new hood instead!
