1993 Mustang style hood on 1986 Mercury Capri

Hello, I have a question I have been wondering for a while. I have an 86 mercury capri. I really want to put a 3 inch cobra r svo hood on my car but can only find the style to fit a 87-9e mustang. Has anyone ever tried to modify one of these hoods to fit a capri or older mustang? If so how difficult is it? Thanks for any info.

i sure i could be done with mad fabricating skills....

but good luck ,to have it done the price would be off the chart....

The hood you mention is made of fiberglass, so if you have patience and good body work skills, you can massage it enough to fit it. It's just no one is willing to do 2 things: That hood costs a bit and it's easy to mess it up. That would mean you'd have to mold some fiberglass back on it and start over. Then people don't have patience to do this, they want it now and don't want to wait so they get in a hurry and screw things up.
