Default MSD 6A Box HOT Hinder performance? How Badly?

With the following ignition setup:

MSD 6A Box, MSD Blaster Coil, MSD Cap, MSD Rotor, MSD Super Conductor Wires, Autolite 25's (.054)

How badly would a HOT Ignition box (6A) hinder performance?

Its mounted on the plastic piece before the firewall, and isn't near the battery or anything that would immediately heat it up. However, as the underhood temperatures rise, the box itself gets very very hot.

Would this show a minor loss in power, or major loss? Whenever I drag race my car, the underhood is still hot along with the box. If you've been reading the forums lately, you'd know I'm going through a headache of trying to get my car to run as fast as it should.

The MSD box's are supposed to withstand the heat no matter what, my 6AL box is mounted upward on the drivers side but the strut tower where the air comes in from the plastic tube used for a carbed dual snorkel setup, so that pushed the heat away, plus i have a 4" cowl hood, if the engine is hot yeah that would cause some weak performances, find a way to dicipate the heat more and work from there.

Just before the light turned green the little ******* pointed to the NOS sicker on his machine and left a plasic patch that lasted about 100ft. I didn't stand a chance, I was smoked. He rasied his fist in victory and when home for milk and cookies, I just went to the track.

A friend of mine ha it mounted in the drvers side or pass side inner fender where its nice and cool during runtime, another good spot is in the glovebox or under the dash by radio.
