Got a question for you guys, I have a complete 302 that is tore down in boxes in my garage (including forged pistons) I was going to save it for a rainy day but a kid I know needs a block for a truck he is building. Some of the parts like the pistons and crank I can get a good estimate on what there worth parting it out, but what do you guys think it is worth if I get rid of the whole engine? It was from a 88 and has never been rebuilt although like I said it has been completely disassembled, cleaned and in boxes. Just wondering because the kid has a set of pony wheels that he wants to sell and I was thinking of working out a trade………….

That would be a good trade . I would estimate it at about 300 bucks without all the fuel injection . I spent 1300 for my pony wheels and tires so .......

If it comes with intake and everything below, id say it's worth about $1000.

If it's the long block only, I'd say $700.

If the wheels and tires are in good shape, go for it.
