1990 Mustang GT Convertible EEC Question

Does anyone know the difference between the EEC for the convertible and the hardtop GT? I am looking to replace the computer in my car but no one seems to have one available locally for a 1990 GT Convertible, only ones listed to "excl conv." Any help would be appreciated.

There shouldn't be a different computer for the convertible, they should be the same. What does the top have to do with engine control?

the is no difference

the only difference is between 5sp & AOD tranny's

Thanks for the confirmation. I couldn't figure what the difference would be but this is from Advance Auto Parts website-

Reman.; w/M.T. Exc. Convertible; w/I.D. #E9ZF-AA

And they were no help.

A9L for standard, and A9P for auto.

I don't get that at all. Why would a convertible get a different computer?
