Anyone know what the cam specs are for a stock 85 Mustang Gt cam?
My brother has a stock 302 in his 71 Comet. I'm going to rebuild the engine and trans for him.
I'll convert his block so it can accept a roller cam. I have a stock roller cam from an 85 Mustang GT. We were wondering just what the specs are on it.
He doesn't want a wild cam that shakes the car at idle, just something smooth and with more grunt then his 71 stock flat tappet. We thought the GT cam would fit the bill for him.
What are the specs on it?
Thanks.

those Comp cams are not the same specs as a stock 85 5 spd cam. Also, the automoatic cams were not rollers in 85, only the 5 spd cams were rollers.

Ah - that works as those are mild cams. The first one is close to a stock cam in duration with more lift.
