Default Help!!!!!!! Idle problems

Help!!!!!!! Idle problems. My 86 gt is having idleing problems. It runs great however, after a few minutes it will start to fluctuate up and down. And if I cut the air conditioner on, which puts an additional strain on the engine, it will idle down so much that it will cut off. Of course it has a 302 5 speed that is pretty much stock. Somebody before had mentioned the idle arm but I dont know. I've also heard that this model was notorious for having this issue. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Mark..

what he said plus make sure your are intake doesn't have any leaks in it. Mine was surging pretty bad too and I fix it today with pvc parts from home depot. Another thing you can do is pull your filter and everything off the throttle body and start it up cover the end of the throttle body and see if it shuts off. If not than you have a serious vacuum leak somewhere.
