Default Trick flow twisted wedge top end kit

Hey guys, just wanted to know if anyone has one of these kits on their 5.0L and any pros or cons to having it. Seems like a well put together package that removes some of the guesswork of picking out all these different parts to work together as a system since everything is designed to work at a certain rpm range. I think Edelbrock makes a similar kit as well...

What do you think? worth the money?

Thanks, Andrew

A lot of people really like the Trickflow kit, but a buddy on mine had the kit on his notch, the only thing he didn't like baout it was the lack of top end power. He said about 5K and it was done. I think the kit with the track heat intake matched with a TFS stage 2 cam would have some good top end.

I have it on my 91 right now. I think its a decent kit but dont expect the advertised 350hp/360tq. 300 is pretty reasonable with this set up. I heard the holley kit which costs bout the same works a bit better though

both are good kits and both work well(Holley & TF)..the advertised HP of 350,if you read the fint print,i believe it states its on a 306ci motor, and thats Flywheel HP not Rear wheel..350 at the flywheel will get you anywhere around 275-300 at the rear wheels, depending on other mods,transmission,etc...

You would still need the heads intake and cam to get the most out of a windsor or a stroker.

The price is about right, 1K for the heads, 500 for the intake, plus rockers, cam, timing set, pushrods, gaskets, and valve covers. Thats going to be about what it would cost.
