i still trying to find out what ive got i know that the block is 1974 how can i find out what heads are ??? the only casting numbers i can find on them are(302) and 9k25 does this mean anyting?? also there are some numbers aranged like a clock face in circle with 9 at bottom then 1,3,.,5,7,.,9 please help if you can.

The block says D4,right?That only makes it a 1974 CASTING TYPE.The 9K25 is the actual casting DATE.

9K25 = 9 - 1979
K - October(10th month)
25- 25th day

= October 25,1979

The circular deal is the time that the block was cored,or set up for casting.It's a Ford code.

yes the block is d4 1974 i wasnt sure how to decode heads thanks for your help .seems ive bought a bum car ? i think im going to find a flywheel that will take shake out of car?and drive untill i can buy 86-93 5.0 ho motor to build ,do you know if any 28oz flywheel will work to solve my problem? also are these good or bad heads???
