Default Compression test and Spark Plug question...

Decided to do a compression test today. I'm not too excited with the results. The max I got was a 160, and the least I got was a 145 on the #1 cylinder. How bad do you think it is? This was done with the engine warm (About 145 degrees), and while holding the throttle body open. I couldn't squirt oil into the cylinders because I don't have a squirt gun.

On another note, my spark plugs look absolutely terrible. Please help me diagnose them. This is the first time I've pulled them since the h/c/i swap. The one on the left represents the one that was in the best condition, the one on the right the worst. Thanks.

Those compression numbers sound pretty good to me.

That spark plug is definetely showing something is wrong though. The two things that immediately come to mind are bad valve seals or something wrong with the ignition upstream of the plugs (wires, cap, maybe rotor or TFI module). The spark plug itself could even be bad if it is creating a lot of resistance.

How long since the H/C/I swap?

Which cylinders had the worst looking plugs?

Any computer codes?

I figured out the plug problem. A while back I installed a new intake, but forgot to install the oil baffle. As a result I was getting a lot of oil into the intake. Should have changed the plugs then. But the compression numbers sound good eh?

I'm trying to diagnose my noise valvetrain. Is it typical for 24 lb injectors to be a lot louder then 19's? They're the bosch ones....thanks.
