About a year ago I had the gt40p's put on the car and I am having some overheating issues that I believe is headgasket related just like everyone suggested, anyways will the exaughst manifold gaskets and intake, head gaskets that come in the MUSTANG overhaul kit all work for the gt40p's and the cobra intake with mac headers or do I need to piece the kit together by buying the EXPLORER head gaskets, reorder the exaughst gasket from Mac and order the cobra intake manifold gaskets from ford racing? I bought the car with these mods and dont know where the guy originally got the parts or have a means of contacting him. Also do I really need to replace the head bolts, they were replaced a year ago, and I dont plan on getting that much more serious other than the bolt ons I have now? Thanks.

Agreed, not that my advice means anything...dont worry about your exhaust manifold gaskets, theyre plug and play. I blew off all head gaskets and went with felpro 1011-1...and replace those head bolts! Follow torque and pattern specs.

Not sure that there is really any difference between a '93' Cobra and a 1997-2000 Explorer when it comes to gaskets (head, intake & exhaust). Same gaskets from what I see. And yes, replace them head bolts! Anybody know when Ford went to the "torque to limit" type of head bolts?
