Default 1986 Mustang GT throttle problem. Help please!

I own a 1986 gt.I have replaced idler air control valve and map sensor because the idle would kill the car now between 1900 rpms and 2600 the car seems to miss and stops after 2600 i am completely clueless any ideas ??? no vacuum leak. when i start car sometimes it revs up to 2400 right away i dont understand .

might be a stupid question... but have you checked your tps sensor? Pulled any codes from the car? If there are any codes to be read it will help you diagnose the problem, or at least put you in the right system to further trouble shoot.

I have not checked the tps my friend has and 89 hes gonna let me borrow it tomarrow and see if it runs anybetter but would tps cause dead spot in only spot in the rpm band ?
