Default 1988 Mustang dies when turning in idle.

So whenever I'm at idle and I turn the wheel enough my car dies. As you can imagine this is very embarrassing for situations such as parking lots and U-turns. Anyways I figured it was the power steering pump as I replaced the fluid and the problem still exists. Does that sound right?

No, I just need to know whether or not I should go buy a new power steering pump or if that is completely wrong.

i would say, before buying a power steering pump. spend a little $69.00 or $75.00 to test the computer. i had similar problems too after a test. i had a bad ignition control modular and stator.
