Hey guys,
Im trying to get some more power out of my 5.0 mustang gt. As of now, it has mild upgrades. It has underdrive pulleys, cold air intake, exhaust, a mild cam, and msd ignition. I want to get as much power out of the stock bottom end as i can, without blowing it up. I am also looking to do it on a budget. What should i do first? Heads? Would i be able to supercharge the engine without upgrading the internals? What would i have to do as far as tuning with upgraded parts? Im looking for any kind of advice.

A 3.73 rear axle gear swap is always a good place to start even on a stock GT so you could do that.
When it comes to basic bolt-on mods, the list usually consists of:
I've highlighted the ones that you're missing so you can do those next. When it's time to upgrade the heads/cam/intake manifold, you'll also need to upgrade from the stock 87lph fuel pump and either swap in bigger injectors or an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
The production 5.0 block and internals are good for up to about 480rwhp (550 crank) so supercharging with up to 8psi of boost shouldn't be a problem with proper tuning.
Thankyou for the help. I am going to start with heads, headers, a throtle body, and a upper and lower intake. What are the best kind of heads to get that aren't really expensive, and what valve size? What are some good headers out there? Now when it comes to throttle bodies, i have heard some talk about spacers. Are they worth it? Also, what would be a good size throttle body? And last, what are good intake setups? I have seen the cobra ones in some magizenes. What are some other good ones?
trick flow top end kit would be nice for heads and intake, get some 30 lb injector for future upgrades, some bbk long tube headers or short tubes, 70mm tb from trick flow or accufab, pro m maf sensor calibrated to 30 lb, that would be a nice start
Hey guys. I have an opportunity to purchase a trickflow street heat intake upper and lower intake manifolds, and a 75mm throttle body with spacer. I can get it all for $450. Is that a good price. Also i am going to buy a new cold air intake system. What mas air flow size should i get?

Definitely. Go for it, but don't bother using the spacer.
