Default Eliminating AC and smog pump

Hello, i have a 90 mustang and i have eliminated my smog pump and i want to eliminate my ac and i was wondering if it is possible to elimnate my ac without puting a pulley in its place?

if you still have the power steering then you should be good, they are both on the same side of the crank pulley. all you would need is shorter belt

I beleive I saw someone do it, the belt will barely clear, but Im going to buy the power stering relocation brackets cause its more common to do it that way, its nicer.

yeah im pretty sure you can leave the p/s pump where it is and just get a shorter belt or you can get the ford racing a/c elimator which relocates the p/s pump to where the a/c was, i did it. PM me with any questions, i also have pics of it..

I just finished installing the ford racin a/c eliminator bracket your talking about and the size belt you need is 84.5!

its not 84.5 if you have the smog deleted too.. depending on how you route it this diagram should help.

If it's possible to bypass the smog pump and A/C without interference you can use a belt from a mid to late 90's Audi A6. it is 73" or 74" long and utilizes the p/s pump.

I am goin to try it tomorrow morning if anybody wants to know if it works. I have underdrive pulleys, and removed A/C and smog pump.
