Default question about fuel pressure

I have in my car a hiflow pump witht the stock regulator. its a 255 made by walbro. The engine only has 3000 miles on it since its rebuild. I am using the 6al box and 19# stock injector with stock intake. I was woundering if this had anything to do with my car running rich and using lots of gas. Can this have anything to do with it?? Any suggestions on how to fix??

You can run a 255lph on a bone stock motor with no problems. Thats what the regulator does, send the unused fuel back to the tank and regulate the pressure. Unless you have the walbro GSS340 high pressure pump it should not be your pump or regulator. I would run the codes to see if a sensor has gone bad first.
