1992 mustang automatic to standard

hi, im sure there are tons of these threads all over this site, but the ones i have seen involve swapping in a T-5.

i have a 1989 Mustang LX 2.3 litre, standard (5 speed) transmission, and my friend owns a 1992 Mustang LX 2.3l Automatic.

the deal is, im rebuilding my mustang, doing a complete 5.0 swap like most people do, and i was going to give my friend the transmission i have now, due to me upgrading everything. I am just wondering if this is a simple swap, does it get complicated?

i was just going to do the swap for free, he is a good friend of mine, but if its really not worth it, he can stick with the Automatic. i just do not want to get myself into something i cant get out of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its not worth the time nor the money in my opinion. If your swapping your car over to a 5.0 man you have enough on your own do right now.lol Tell your bubby if he has that much time and money to swap over trannys he should just put a 5.0 in his car too.

It should be a straight swap.
