you don't need to worry about hijacking this thread its 3 years old at this point. I have been building a kit car using a 1988 5.0 speed dennsity donor subsequently I converted to an 89 mass air EEC-IV. Then yesterday I got all of the mounting brackets from a Lincoln to swap alternator and AC compressor to the opposite side. So, I can tell you there are infinate possibilities! That being said if you put a T-bird motor in your
stang you will do better to get the correct T-bird EEC-IV computer and harness. Then you will need a real good wiring diagram! The T-bird harness will fit the motor fine but will be different from the motor to the car and will requires a lot of splices. A 5.0 HO mustang motor that is the same year as your
Stang is the easiest choice but these motors sell fast and $$$$. An easier choice is a carburetted 302. You can spend all your money and energy making mechanical upgrades. Hotter cams, bigger brakes, 6 speed
tranny. These are much more fun that spending a lot of time and energy learning how a TFI distributer works.
