Default 1990 Mustang GT Lighting problem

I have a problem with my foglights on my 90 gt. When i am driving and switch on my foglights about 5 mins later my headlights and my instrument panel lights shut off. I takes like 2 mins for my lights to turn back on. This only happens when i turn my foglights on. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?

The fogs are overloading the headlight switch and the switch is most likely failing. Chances are good there's also damage to the electrical connector and harness behind the switch. I think it's the yellow wire that's the culprit.
You need to make sure you correct the problem. Get a new headlight switch for a GT (NO ebay switches or used switches, you need a NEW switch because it has a limited life span. Also get the pigtail from the Ford parts counter, they usually melt and burn up.

This happens to many other GT owners, it's not fun when the lights go out right when you're going around a curve and meeting other cars.
