86 notch back ? Should I buy it ? What is a fair price ?

I have a chance to buy a 86 notch back stang. It was a 4 cyl car converted. It has a Gt 40 crat motor edelbrock carb T-5 trans headman headers 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears and the 10 hole rims car is in pretty good shape with 26000 on drive line change. What would be a fair price the blue book is only $1500. Thanks Ray

if you get it for 1500 , and the body is in decent shape , then you stole it

I wont get it for $1500 he is asking $4000 but said the price is not firm. He said he want a resonable offer. I was just woundering what would be fair if it is in decent shape. Thanks Ray

I have no idea I think it was easyer to go from a 4 cyl to v8 with a carb set up. The hole drive line has been changed to include the rear, it is a 8.8 with 373 gears and disk brakes. Any ideas what it would be worth? He say it has run a best of 7.92 in the 1/8 mile.Thanks Ray

Well looked at the car seem he forgot to tell me it had a 150 shot set up. I passed on it was a little rough.
