I got this 88 interceptor and it seemed to run fine at first but after I drove it for a while it started acting like it was miss fireing it wanted to go but it wouldnt. I changed spark plugs, wires, distributer cap and roter and it is still acting up. Funny thing is when it is sitting in the driveway i can rev it all day and its fine it just under a load that it does it.

I would replace/check: fuel filter, codes, and fuel pressure.

Need clarification: what "interceptor" is it? Is it an SSP Mustang?

Id check the fuel pressure for a drop.

yes it is a mustang and it apears to be an 88 motor as far as i know the motor has not been replace. working on replacing the fuel pump one thing just keeps leading to another pulled fuel tank down everything on the inside was rusted so i replaced everything including tank. Went to put tank back up and hoses dont fit on the fuel delivery system so i am working on modifing the hoses in the morning before i go to work that way i dont have to buy a different delivery sytem should have it back together tomorow or tuesday hopefully this will solve my problem
