ok quick question there is a click when i push the clutch quickly on my 89 mustang. It sounds like its the bearing but im not sure. Just a note i replaced the cable with a ford racing cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrant about 2 weeks ago. Is it bad to dive the car with this problem????

I couldent tell you what the noise is, but my mustang makes the same noise, i have a steeda clutch cable, with firewall adjuster. and i seem to think, its a bearing also. But as for driving the car, it should be fine, I've been driving mine with that noise for like 6 months, with no issues

My guess is your probably hearing your starter/clutch interlock safety switch at the end of your clutch pedal bracket, up under the dash. That's natural. It works like a ratcheting devise. When you push your clutch in, it's adjusting itself..... automatically. It's a child safety devise used in all standard transmissions today.

child saftey, no pun intented!!!!, but child saftey in a car seems ironic, but possible, i would say more or less dummy proof so there is not chance of the tranny engaging at startup...

mine seems like it hangs up when i let out the clutch driving it seems like it stops then pops up a little bit its annoying, any ideas?
