check he threads on the bolt they might be flattened, not to sure about the RTV but check the bolts and try replacing them to see if that might be the problem.

Default Rtv

I have a 302 in my 69 Stang and when I changed the CAM out I used a very small amount of RTV on the manifold bolts. I have had no problems with them.

Replace your bolts, sometimes they get stretched. As far as the RTV, it won't hurt anything seeing that you have a few bolts around the water jackets. That's why you saw a little coolant. When you replace your bolts, replace them with ARP you won't be sorry. Do you have any vacuum leaks around your intake? If so make sure you use a little RTV, in the front and rear of the intake by the front and rear gaskets in the corners it's good insurance anyway, Mike. SCT Tuner.

Definitely change the bolts out plus after a few heating and cooling cycles go back and retorque them cause they will probably be loose. ITLRUN was also saying that if the bolts are not holding properly and you were seeing some coolant that there is a possibility that you might have a vacuum leak just some more preemptive measure.
