Default 1985 Mustang lx EFI to carb swap help

Hi, i own a 1985 mustang lx 5.0 hatch and i love the car to death. call me old school but i just love the idea of a carb over a throttle body any day.
Its got the AOD auto tranny in it for now entell i can afford to build and swap out to the c4.
I've had a lot of dreams for this car since i bought it a few years back and the first one i want to take care of is swapping the throttle body and going carb.
I got the general idea of what needs to happen for it to work but I'm looking for like a simplified parts list of everything i will need and possibly tips from others who have done the swap and the problems they ran into when doing it. anything will help, i only wish i could just find a conversion kit for it ha ha if only if only.
Please and thank you for the help

first off ....welcome to the site,iv never seen a 85 with the TB but have heard of them,i think they came on some of the auto cars, like yours...anyway...you will need to know if the dissy is vaccum advanced if so your alright ,if not MSD dist, and box is the way to go,there are other ways but its the least headaches, also if the fuel pump is in the tank, you can use it,but a pressure reg, will be needed and make sure to keep the return line functional,so it can bypass if theres to much pressure,of course a good intake and a good carb choice, those motors respond well with a 650 HOLLEY.you will have to enginear a bracket for the AOD cable,also...about the fuel pump,if your not going to have alot of horsepower you can change the front cover to the old style mech fuel pump, that should get you started, there are alot of other ways but i think iv giving you the easyest...what ever you do dont be affraid to ask...

just get a fuel pressure regulator. I am pretty sure that a carb can handle 7-8psi or less so regulate the fuel pressure to that standard and should be good from there. they run about $30 from summit for a holley one.

EDIT: didnt see the response above

OK so parts list, msd distributar and box, take out the secondary in line pump and replace with fuel pressure regulator, intake(recommendations? im looking for a cheap high rise look and for low end torque), and a holley 650. And for the aod cable im still a little lost on what to do with that

I really don't bite.......

I must make a correction..... it is CFI not CBI

Central Fuel Injection (CFI).

Fuel injection - Throttle Body Injection TBI or CFI. Throttle-body injection (called TBI by General Motors and CFI by Ford) was introduced in the mid 1980's as a transition technology to individual port injection.

The TBI sytem centrally injects fuel at the throttle body (the identical location where a carburetor introduced fuel). The induction mixture passes through the intake runners just like a carburetor system

for low end power i like the edelbrock rpm air gap... its main power band is 1500 to 6500 rpm which is nice.. but i'm not sure if its the high rise look you're going for??

high rise =top end rpm ...low rise =low end torque.i have used offenhauser intakes before there about $150.00,and ther good off idle to 6000 rpm.
