Default 1993 Mustang Cobra power brake booster install into 1992 Mustang LX help.

Can anyone tell me if its possible to install a 93 Cobra power brake booster without removing the engine? what a pain in the butt. I installed the 93 cobra rear disc's on my 92 lx, fairly easy but the under hood stuff is a pain....

remove the engine? No way, take the lines off the master first, then go under your driver side dash and loosen the rod from the brake pedal, then take out the four nuts on the firewall right above the floor(inside the car). and boom it should come out.

Taking the old one out is not problem, its out, installing the Cobra power brake booster is..ist larger in diameter and will not fit between the valve cover and shock tower....

huh, ok sorry, I guess i just needed more information. if it came out of a 93 then you should be able to use it. the underhood deminsions are the same. you may need to take the upper plenum off, and the valve cover, but I can't see needing to pull the motor.

I had to take my upper TFS plenum off. You will want to widen the holes more to the left and message the shock tower about like the shape of a mini football to get it in.

Someone stated in blog that the 92 and 93 mustangs including the cobra has a slight change on the shock tower from the factory, anyone else hear the same or can verify this? thanks
