Default 1993 Mustang gt runs weird at cold start up

Hey lately my cars been running weird when cold, I start her up and let it warm up for a few minutes, once I start driving after I let me foot off the gas the rpms free fall it almost stalls but slowly picks back up again, after about 10 minutes of driving everything seems fine, the o2 sensors, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, coil and iac are all new within the past couple of months and this weekend I cleaned the maf, changed the tps, air charge sensor , and I have a new engine temp sensor which is plastic? Which I've never seen if anyone else has? The cat also smells like its running rich , I tried pulling codes but nothing was coming up, thanks

Try cleaning your IAC and EGR.

Also, when you replaced your TPS did you make sure it was reading the right voltage???? Or did you just slap it on and go?

One thing I can say... When it gets cold outside, it's good to let your car sit and idle for about 2-3 minutes. That way everything gets oiled down good, and the engine warms up a bit. That alone can increase the life of your engine.

I'm not sure what could be causing your problem... Do you have a 5 speed or an auto?

5 speed its a 4 cyl swapped to 5.0 was running great until the headers I put on melted one of the plug wires so I changed the wires and protected them this time but it still runs a little rich no smoke, just smell and idle is just a tiny bit off maybe I'm just being ocd about it but its driving me crazy

If you're running with no cat's then a slight gas smell is normal...

Is it surging or what?
