I cannot get the last 1/4 inch of the dist to go in tried turning it every way it wont go down, it drops in to the last 1/4 inch then nothing any suggestions please help Its a 1980 5.0 9n a 1954 ford , would like to stay with a one wire dist Thanks for any help Tom

had the same problem get somebody to bump the key it will drop the rest of the way

Need to turn the oil pump just a little to line up Id like to see some pics of your ride, been lookin to get one!

you can get the oil pump rod lined up just right and its still gonna stick up a quarter of an inch i pullde my oil rod up untill it stoped the put the dizzy on like that and it still wouldnot drop in the rest of the way im telling you have somebody just barely turn the motor over while your pushing on it it will go right in
