I replaced my clutch 2 years ago because the throwout bearing messed up and wouldn't let me go into or out of gears. I bought the Ford HD clutch kit and had a local shop install it. Since the install, it has sqeaked occasionally and when I barely press on the pedal I can feel a pulsing in it. Besides that, it has worked alright. I have occasionally missed 2nd and 3rd gear even with the shifter. Last night I was at Wal Mart letting some people cross and when I went to put it in gear it wouldn't go in any gear. I cut the car off and got it into gear. I parked it and did my shopping. Got back in it and its been fine ever since, but I think its about to mess up for good real soon. Does it sound like the throwout bearing? What am I doing (driving style) to make them go bad? Is there anything I can do to extend the life while I save up the money for a new clutch?

I have seen many Ford TO bearings go bad prematurely, but yours sounds like more than 1 problem, not geting into gear is probably the forks or time for a fluid change.
The vibration could be the TO starting to die.
Start by changing to Syntetic ATF, use Mobil 1 or Mercon V (Motorcraft), i use the later and my T5 shifts smoothly in every gear.
I just changed the fluid in the tranny for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I used the Mobile 1 with 1 quart of some special synthetic lubricant. Since the fluid change it shifts a lot smoother.

Is it normal for a T-5 TO to squeak from time to time? Mine does, usually after I get on it and usually when I've come to a stop or am driving real slow in 1-3 gear.

It's probably more of a chirp. It is definitley coming somewhere from the transmission and it stops when I push the clutch in, even just tapping the clutch makes it stop.

Yep, as soon as you so much as rest your foot on the pedal the chirping stops. I've been told it was the throwout bearing making the noise. I'm just wondering if my driving style is permitting the tob to go out early. However, it was squeaking when I had just had the clutch installed.

CHIRP= TO bearing definately, mine went out a couple of weeks after it started to chirp. the TO broke completely, more like desintegrated.
What pissed me the most is that it was almost new, maybe less than 3K miles.
You better change it now, down wait until it breaks.
Also replace the Pilot bearing (one that goes into the crankshaft), those can go bad too.
Mine's been chirping for 2 years, it is very annoying. I want it to stop. I think its the reason I've been missing 2nd and 3rd because I know I'm a good driver.
Oh yeah, did I mention when they replaced my clutch a mechanic told me they dropped my transmission on the floor. When I confronted the owner about it he said the mechanic (not the one that told me) caught it from under the car! I couldn't prove anything, but ever since then I have a rattling at 4K and above sometimes. Yep, they used a full tube of k-y jelly on me.
