Default 1987 Mustang 2.3 and 1990 Mustang 5.0 under dash harness

Hey guys i have a 1987 4 cyl notch and a 1990 v8 hatchback and im doing the swap and putting the v8 and everything else in the notchback, so i was wondering if i still needed to swap the under dash harness to for those years.

Thanks
Adam

I have no idea what he means by that.

I believe the 90 is a airbag car. So you need to swap the under the dash harness also.

im doing the same thing(almost) swapping a 92vert(airbag) to an 87 notch(non airbag)

there are many write ups about what year engine harnesses match what dash harnesses, but i plan on swapping the whole dash and engine harness from one car to the other..although its a PITA,it should be worth any wiring headaches in the end

You still plug it in. I think that connector contains more than just the Air Bag wiring.

you dont need 24lb injectors if you still have stock heads/cam/intake...

they will do absolutely nothing for you..stock 19's are good till a little over 300hp at the flywheel..you're not even close..spend the money elsewhere

19lb at 300fwhp, puts that injector at close 100% duty cycle. The max you should push an injector is 85%. Otherwise the injector cant control the fuel properly. You are better off with a larger injector( not god awful big, but larger) and a duty cycle closer to 60%. It makes the engine more effecient. A 93 cobra engine, with optimal tune, and no backpressure makes 300hp at the Flywheel. Thats straight from a Ford dyno tech. Thus the reason why they used 24s on the cobra engines.
