I recently rebuilt my tremec and have a few questions:

1. Is the tailshaft/extension housing bushing replaceable (like in a T5)? The tremec repair manual I used said that if the bushing is bad, you need to replace the whole extension housing. So, I didn't replace the bushing. Bad move.

2. What type of sealant should I use on the trans case? I used black RTV on the inspection covers and flexible flange sealant on the case. It's definitely leaking from the flange sealant. I couldn't find the anaerobic sealant that Tremec recommends.

I just used rtv for my sealant . as for the bushing , I would call or e-mail tremec .
