Question on tachometer

Is anyone aware of electrical or other interference making a tach jump up 500 to 1000 rpm's? During my drive to work every morning, I hit a certain couple spots on the highway where my tach's needle jumps up. The revs don't really increase, just the needle. Sometimes it stays up for a few seconds, others just a quick jump then back to normal. Anyone else have this happen?

Is this the tach in your dash or an aftermarket one?

stock tach's suck dont trust any stock gauges.

i am still on my stock tach and it jumps but that is just my tb sticking.

It is a stock tach. It works fine other than going through this one section of the highway. I've looked for anything that could cause this but no luck. It's weird. I could be doing 2000rpm then it will fly up. The first few times it happened, I was scratching my head but now I just expect it. It's like an X files or something.
