My limited slip is gone. What would you guys replace it with.

How much do you want to spend? It is not that expensive to replace the clutches in the Trac-Loc and get it working again.

Whether you rebuild it or replace it should depend on what your intended application is. I went with the TruTrac differential and was considering the Eaton unit. The most popular and least expensive approach is to just to replace the clutches.

The clutch replacement is the cheapest route and the job is fairly easyand well suited if you are just going to see ocasional track abuse time. Randys ring and pinion sells a clutch pack set for about $40 and it takes a couple of hours (depending on experience) to install and you wont have to get the rearend set up like you would by installing a new differential carrier such as an Auburn or Tru Trac unit.

I rebuilt my trac lok last year and it works great. Like everyone said, it depends on what you have planned in the future for your car. If you only race it once and a while then the stock trac lok should fit the bill, but if you are more serious then check out other differentials that suit your style and budget.
