Okay...I have an 86 Mustang GT that I've got some major plans for (don't we all?). Right now it has a carbureted 302 and 5-speed.
I decided I would like to build a nice 306 w. forged internals and run a CarTech turbo setup on it.
Well, about a week ago I was checkin out a local boneyard and seen a 1995 Mustang GT so I snatched up the computer, wiring harness, and motor. I kinda figure that there will be splicing involved on hooking the harness upto my headlight harness. Question is, what else am I gonna have to do to make this work? I'm not going to use stock stuff on the motor. I'm going to be using Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Heads, Trick Flow R-Series intake, and a Trick Flow stage 2 cam, electric water pump,no a/c, no smog.
Now, the Mustang I got the computer and stuff out of had an AOD
tranny, will that computer be okay with my 5-speed or am I gonna have to hunt down a computer for a car that had a 5-speed?
Another question, where is the mass air stuff located on the 95 Mustang? If anyone has pics of all the mass junk I'd be happy if you could post it or email it to me (light2lightracer@aol.com)
I'm not too smart when it comes to all this new fuel injection computerized stuff! All help appreciated, sorry if I sound like a complete idiot. Keep flaming or whatever to a minimum. Thanks!
