Question Brake Light switch Help

hey guys,
Im new to working on mustangs, I have replace my Throttle body (thanks to the moderators) and that was easy. Also ive replaced the ignition switch because I was having problems with the turn signals not working while the car was running. also semi easy. But now!!! I have no brake lights, I changed fuses, bulbs. So I just got a new brake light switch, I got the old one off, and now im trying to put the new one in, and Im having a hard time, something just doesn't seem to fit. Are ther any photo's online of the assembley? I cant seem to get the pin back in to secure the switch,
Thanks in advance.

I think you may have the washer or bushing on the wrong way. Have you tried to switch them around to see if it fits any better?

Hey guys, I have an '87 5.0 and I have a minor problem with it. When I press my brake pedal my lights dont come on. Well I found the little button that turns them on but I cant seem to figure out how to keep the switch stationary so that the button is pressed when pressing the pedal. My friend did a temp fix on it with some zip ties but I cant figure out how he did it and I cant get a hold of him anymore. Any help would be great. THanks

J

Is the brake light switch new or not?

No the switch is not new. But I dont need a new one either. It just looks like its missing something to hold it in place while the button is pressed. Im not sure
