Default 1993 Mustang, home ported gt40p hp?

I have a 93 mustang with explorer upper and lower intake manifolds, 70mm throttle body and MAF. I have a set of bare gt40p heads that i have worked over pretty heavy. Should i get enlarged vaves put in them or leave them alone? also what cam would still have good street capability and still put out good power? I am looking for about 325hp at the wheels? Any suggestions?

325 is a very tall order for GT40Ps, but it may be able to be done. Last year a made 274rwhp with up bone stock GT40 3-bar heads. This year I am going to have them heavily ported and milled a bit. With this, a little port work on the explorer intake, and a few other odds and ends I hope to break the 300rwhp barrier.

Good luck and let us know the results!

P.S. you will definitely need a good tune to get those numbers out of Ps.

You might go with bigger exhaust valves. You can shave the heads and up your comprecion, Not sure about the cam, if you shave the heads be very carfull when getting a cam! How good is your port and polish job? Its gonna need to be emaculant! I would get better injectors with a better spray pattern, if you want 325 a cam will be a must... ofcourse 1.7 rockers. you might look into titanium valves take a little weight out of your valve train. Just sit back and make a list like this of all the little things you can do to get every extra horse out of it. 325 is a tall order though...

who did the port work on the heads? watch out porting the gt40.ps there is a water jacket that runs along the botton of the combustion chamber . if you port them and dont break through to the water jacket. and make it to thin. on start up and the heating process it will crack. then you know what happens from there
