Default 1984 Mustang GT 5.0L Manual - Cruise Control Add?

I recently purchased a 1984 Mustang GT Convertible, 5.0L, 5-Speed, Holley 4-Barrel Carb, HEI Distributor. Car did not come with cruise control...but I do have a steering wheel from a 1989 Mustang with the cruise control buttons built in. How difficult is it to add cruise control?

Thanks, Paul

Yeah a steering column from an 89-93 car that came equipped with cruise. You will need the disable switch for the brake pedal to stop its function when slowing. The vacuum can that makes it operate. The vss on the speedo cable that sensors the cars speed. The vss eqiupped speedo cable itself. A MAF type EFI conversion since your car is not fuel injected. Or you can get a 85 5.0 cruise setup. Not sure if its the same you can get a switch and driveshaft sensor. Best bet is an 85 but some companies sell kits.

Wow! That sounds like a lot of work just for cruise control. I'm thinking I can live without it. Thanks for the info.
