make sure nobody has been under it and turned the allen or hex head screw and tried to pull it out i had an express oil change place do that to mine idiot under there thought he had to take it out to put fluid in it hold the shifting forks i lost 5th and reverse because he stopped when he saw he was messing up

clutch issue. Check for bent/broken fork, broken cable. If not then you may need a clutch. Unless it will not shift with car off then I would look for a shifter issue.

Yeah if its a five speed more than likely a clutch issue. Had this happen to me going down the road when i whiped out my clutch disc into nothing but metal fins.

88 gt with stock 5.0 block, gt40p heads, b cam, 24lb injectors, cobra upper and lower intake with 1/2in spacer, 70mm tb, mac cai, pro-m maf calibrated for injectors, msd dist. with flame thrower coil and 6Al box, under drive pulleys, short belt no (smog pump), sct chip with a9l comp,ford racing shorty headers,bbk h-pipe to flowmasters, zoom stage 2 clutch, 373 gears, and nitto 555rs!

Yea its a 5 speed, my mechanic said it looks to be the clutch cable.
