Default 347 stroker firing order

I'm just curious, did they ever change the firing orders on the 347 cranks from 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 to 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8?

most 347's use the 5.0 HO firing order

Firing order is based on the cam......

i know lol, problem is i bought a short block off a guy, i don't have a cam for it yet, the blocks a 92 HO although i don't know if he ordered the assembly for it, any suggestions?

The cam is based on the block setup.

They are standard size for the most part yes.......

I think what you're asking is if the cranks for the 2 firing orders will be the same. The answer is yes.

Write down the firing order in 2 columns.

1 6
3 5
7 4
2 8

With that crank, you can switch any pair of cylinders (1 and 6, 3 and 5, 7 and 4, 2and 8) in the firing order by switching cams.

A commons example is the 4-7 swap on Small Block Chevy's to get a few extra horses.

MOst 347 setup require a 28oz imbalance instead of the HO's 50oz. Therefore you need a new flywheel and harmonic balancer

i got the flex plate and harmonic balancer, the kit is a 28oz imbalanced, he had it externally balanced to 28oz, and yes it's the new FO like i thought to begin with lol, thanks for the help
