Question 1994 351 truck upgrade

OK, this is a little off topic but still the same. I am currently looking for ways to upgrade my 1994 F-150 351W. I want more HP and torque. I am looking to swap in a 1995 cobra roller camshaft. I have read that this is a good swap for my truck since it is a speed density system. I have already installed 1.7 cobra roller rockers and headers and exhaust. But this cam on has .444 lift and about 180 degrees of duration. I am thinking of putting in a B303 camshaft instead. Has anyone else done this? Thanks

According to federal-mogul parts manual, Yes. 1994 351W engines come with OE roller camshaft. The block is the right casting to have a roller cam. Have I pulled the intake off to look at it, No.

Yes it will be a roller block. I am running a HO Mustang cam in my 94 351. The cam gave me awesome torque and horsepower compared to stock. I would not suggest the B303 cam for a truck.

The b cam will work fine, just make sure that the lifters ahave their holder. Just like any motor the heads are going to give you the most gain. The 351 can handle more head than the stock 302 and it will respond great with the b cam. You may be able to get more cam such as the E cam with your rockers but check clearance.
Is your F 150 an auto or stick? The best thing to do after the cam change is the torque converter. We saw 3/4 a second just with that change alone considering the cam, heads and intake.

Also there is a guy here in Vegas that can tune your speed density. He has a turbo Gen 1 lightning with Edlebrock heads and still runs the speed density. I have converted ours to mass air years ago. You can PM me and I'll give you the info.
