Default MAC Fenderwell Cold Air Intake..Install Bracket?

In the Kit for the MAC Cold air fenderwell intake it included a bracket to mount the MAF Sensor.

But in the instructions it stated this bracket was used for the short ram. Not the Fenderwell intake.

My Question is: Is it still nesessary to instal this Bracket?

For a fenderwell intake, you don't really need the MAF bracket. Keep an eye on your tubing though and make sure the hose clamps are tight. Your engine will yank on it a bit.

I have it on mine, everything lines up and it hasn't been a problem. I figure they put it in there for a reason.

Yah, I probebly will get around to installing it. It is really close to the fender without it.

How did you drill the holes? What size drill bit did you use?

I didn't, the MAC kit comes with a big screw and my bracket lined up with a hole that was already there.

I took the time and mounted it with the bracket. The hole was already there and everything worked out great.

Now it doesn't come close to my inner fender...No more rubbing.

Thanks for the info everybody.
