Default 1 or 2 fuel pumps??

im ready to buy my vortech supercharger system and i wanna buy the renegade fuel kit too but they have ones with 2 fuel pumps... my car only has gt 40 heads upper and lower intake, 3.73 gears, pulleys, and im gonna buy a MAF for the throttle boddy too...so what should i get...the dual fuel pump setup or single??? thnx guys...this car wont be going over 500hp if that helps

I don't know about vortechs but my procharger came with an external pump. It was a complete kit. It is a high pressure/volume pump to help with the extra fuel that is needed for the blower.

Get the dual pump set up. No need to risk it as it only takes a split second to blow the motor if there is not enough fuel at high rpms.

it will only take a little more to get up to 500 hp.

yeah but i want this car to be extremely reliable also....is vortech a good system to buy or are there other better ones out there?

1990 mustang GT 5.0 all white auto tranny. Pretty much stock for now except flowmaster mufflers. I can't wait to get back and work on my mustang . I miss laying under the car and wrenching, then having my hand slip and smack myself in the face.

Vortech, Procharger, Paxton and Powerdyne all make great kits and are reliable, otherwise they wouldn't be in business. I'm not gonna tell you one is better than the other because that always starts wars. Do some more research, look at what is best for you and decide from there. I will tell you this, intercooling is the way to go.
