Default What is wrong with my car

So im driving home, and i dont really remeber but im pretty sure my guages were working, then i looked down agian and my tach, volts, and gas gauges were jacked up, i was almost on E and it went to half tank, tach is at 0 and volts are at 0, temp and speedo work.

What happened?

That happend to me once. If it is the same thing, the car kept running right? If so, I pulled my gauge pod and noticed that the plug was loose. I wiggled it and that was the culprit. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the instrument panel voltage regulator, what was the oil
pressure guage doing? I've seen this on both my 82 and my 84, and
it's been a problem with Mustangs since the sixties. I've usually gotten
it to go away by carefully tapping/banging the dash at strategic locations.
Check every ground you can find, starting with the battery ground.
