During my July 4th holiday travels, my mustang began to give me headaches. While on my trip from the DC area to NC, my car shut off in the middle of stand still traffic. A mechanic help push me off the road and told me that as soon as my car cools, it would crank.
He said that it was a common problem with the car once the ignition module reaches high temperatures. Sure enough after allowing my car to sit for about 1hr, it cranked and I was able to complete my trip.
Once in NC, I replaced the ignition coil and ignition module. On my trip back, my car again shut off this time while driving on the interstate

. I pulled off to the side of the road and allow my car to sit for about 30min. It again cranked and I was able to complete my trip.
Both times I was burning the AC. In each instance I cut the AC for the remainder of the trip and was able to reach my destination.
SO........
1) Is there anything I can do to help minimize correct this issue.
2) Is the AC related to the problem or just mere coincidence.
PLEASE HELP!!!!
